Family law regulates marital relations between family members, as well as other persons who, being not family members in the full sense, are nevertheless bound by certain family rights and obligations.

Marital relations are regulated in accordance with the principles of voluntary marriage, equality of conjugal rights, resolution of interfamilial issues by mutual consent, priority of family upbringing of children, care for their well-being and development, ensuring protection of the rights and interests of kids, minor children and disabled family members.
